Grammy Rose Dog Rescue & Sanctuary

This place is great! Their main purpose is as a dog rescue organization, but they also have an ice cream shop and a mini golf. These are used as a way to raise funds for the dog rescue part. The ice cream is delicious and the mini golf is really well designed and fun.

Grammy Rose Dog Sanctuary in Acton, Maine is an absolutely outstanding rescue. The facility is clean, well-organized, and clearly designed with the dogs’ comfort and safety in mind. The staff are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. From start to finish, everything is handled with a professional attitude and a true love for the animals. The management does a fantastic job running the sanctuary, and it shows in how well cared for the dogs are and how smoothly the entire adoption process works. If you’re looking to adopt, volunteer, or support a rescue that truly puts dogs first, Grammy Rose Dog Sanctuary is a wonderful choice. Highly recommended!

Great golf course! Not gimmicky obstacles but tricky hole placement required careful putting. A great challenge! The proceeds benefit a dog rescue so what is there not to love! The ice cream was also delicious and the scoop sizes were VERY gracious. Will be making an annual stop here every year!

Grammy Rose was the best place to adopt a dog I’ve ever been to. My sweet girl came home with me just over two months ago and I couldn’t have asked for a better baby. It’s clear Grammy Rose employees care about these pups and helping them find their forever homes. Application and adoption process was so easy but thorough and I’ll be forever grateful for this Rescue.

Grammy Rose is an amazing facility with knowledgeable staff and top notch care for the dogs. The process for application is very easy. The communication with staff is seamless. Appointments are easy to make and definitely recommended/required. The atmosphere is laidback and it’s obvious they go above and beyond to care for the dogs. We adopted our first puppy from them just recently. We will continue to donate so they can continue their incredible care for dogs far and wide!
