Good Dog Day Care & Social Club

Our recommendation for Good Dog Daycare and Social Club could not be stronger. We have been bringing our large puppy there to visit twice a week for the last 5 months- shortly after adopting him from the Humane Society in Redwood Valley. From the moment we met Chris at Good Dog, it was extremely apparent that he is a true expert in dog behavior and is absolutely dedicated to helping every dog in his care to be the most balanced and content dog that they can be. He is the true “pack leader” and this leadership allows the dogs to play and enjoy their time with the other dogs in a remarkably peaceful and joyous fashion. Good Dog Daycare is beyond amazing!! My dog Iris gets to enjoy her day with all of her friends and get exercise instead of sitting at home alone waiting for me while I’m gone at work. Most days I work early and come home late and can’t drop her off or pick her up so they even come by my house to get her and then drop her off at home after. They have an indoor and outdoor play space for the dogs and there are beds and areas for the dogs to relax inside and on top of that they get to go out on pack walks! I also get texts with pictures and videos of the dogs having fun or out on walks. The first time I saw Chris Z of GDDC&SC he was walking 9 dogs near where I work- I had just moved to Willits & could not believe my good fortune because I had only seen that action on NatGeoWild!! So with his permission, I filmed him & then got his number. As soon as I was off work, I made arrangements for my two dogs to pack walk with him & also got on his waiting list for when he opened his shop on Main Street. (BTW! The design of the shop is just amazing! Go Diz!) - My Lab mix had basic training but was so under-exercised (combined w/ my own inconsistent pack leadership) that he often redirected his energy escalating-to-aggression upon seeing dog-passersby (-esp in the car) toward my usually dominate beagle-mix. Chris is truly the “Dog Whisperer” of Mendocino County. He began working with and caring for my “lil” Mazy 10 years ago (she was just a pup), before the DayCare even opened! Thanks to his tutoring me & working with her I’m able to travel anywhere with her. She loves escalators.elevators & eating in restaurants. Chris also helped me train Mazy to hop up & run on a treadmill~ especially helpful when I was unable to give her enough exercise somedays. These past 10 years have been the most difficult & challenging in my life so I’m grateful to have had Mazy at my side❣️ Thanks for making my life easier…. We can’t say enough good things about Good Dog Daycare! Chris and Blythe are incredibly attentive and genuinely love every dog that comes through their doors. Our curly pack of 3 are picked up from and dropped off at our home happy, tired, and well cared for every time. We love knowing they are in a safe, stimulating, and playful environment where they get plenty of exercise and socialization. The pack walks of 12-20+ dogs around town are a sight to see! Highly recommend to any dog parent looking for top-notch care!
