Golan Dogs

My husband and I got our golden retriever puppy, Milo, at 12 weeks old. While he was such a cute and sweet puppy, he was also an ankle biter! We knew we wanted to eventually get puppy training for Milo, but the ankle biting certainly sped up the process. We did a lot of online research into both group and personal training and Golan by far had the best reviews. We contacted him immediately and had our first puppy training a few days later. The first few sessions were mostly training for my husband and me, talking us through the fundamentals of puppies, how they learn, and the dos and don’t of how to correct them, which was an essential foundation for the rest of our sessions. The latter half of our training focused on leash walking, socialization at dog parks, and various commands. Milo

Golan did a great job helping us welcoming a new rescue dog to our house. From the first session, he was able to correct our first dog’s jealousy behavior as well as providing clear instructions on how to prevent such behavior. The other 3 sessions were dedicated to socialize our new dog (he was having difficulties interacting with other dogs or humans). After 2 months following all Golan’s advises, we can clearly see the progress made, I highly recommend him, and will probably call him again for more advanced training.

Golan is absolutely incredible! Before him, my puppy, Pebbles, couldn’t even walk down the street because she was so anxious. After Golan’s course, Pebbles actually enjoys her walks and has so much more confidence. She is no longer super scared every time she sees a person or another dog. Pebbles has improved so much thanks to Golan’s help. She still has more progress to make, but Golan has provided me with the techniques I need to continue to grow her confidence. I would absolutely recommend Golan, especially if you have a fearful dog.

We researched various dog trainers, but chose Golan for his experience and knowledge in working with the Belgian Malinois breed. Although our family has always owned dogs this breed is new to us and we knew we needed some extra guidance. Golan took the time to explain dog psychology and behavior in our first session, which was good to know and helped guide us over our 12 sessions. We had the absolute pleasure of working with Golan over the past three months, and we couldn't be happier with the results.
