Glynevian Gundogs — Field & Obedience Training

Glynevian has been with us since the first day we brought home our working cocker spaniel puppy a year and a half ago. John is the best. Amazing training services. Top notch.

John and Glynis are incredibly kind, patient, and truly understand dogs — especially hunting breeds. We noticed a big improvement in behavior and listening skills after they boarded them. What we really appreciate is how they take the time to explain how to continue training at home, which made a huge difference for us. They’re also very responsive whenever I reach out with questions or updates, which shows how much they care. It’s clear they genuinely love what they do. We would absolutely recommend them to other dog owners, especially anyone with a hunting dog!

John taught me how to handle my first field dog in 2016. Since then, he has helped tune up both my dogs and myself. I've boarded dogs with John and his family many times. I purchased a new pup through Glynevian as soon as they were established. My new pup is currently being trained there. The combination of home based boarding and socialization can't be beat. They did a great job training our 10 month golden. He learned to heal, stay and go to his place when we need him to which is very helpful. Perhaps more importantly they taught us how to continue to train him and how to make him obedient. So we now have a great dog at home and out in the fields.

I'm one of "those people" who love their dogs like family:), so my dog's happiness and comfort are of utmost importance. I'm also one of those people who hasn't had lasting success with training. At Glynevian, I found it all! A great country/home environment, a huge fenced yard, tons of individual attention... and the icing on the cake for me is seeing that all dogs are teachable (even mine).
