Glencoe Veterinary Clinic is, without a doubt, the best veterinary clinic I have ever been to. The facility is spotlessly clean, and the entire staff is so warm and welcoming; it's obvious they love what they do and take excellent care of your animals. Dr. Patty is a true professional and extremely thorough. She takes the time to answer all your questions and explain things in detail. What I really appreciate is their thoughtful philosophy: it doesn't feel like they push unnecessary treatment or tests. Instead, they take a conservative, thoughtful approach, truly meeting you and your pet where you are at. Their prices are also remarkably fair. A huge shoutout to this amazing, kind and caring team. Our puppy has been so sick since we brought him home. Throwing up, diarrhea and just didn’t seem to sit still. They got him in without ever even knowing us right away. And took such amazing care of him. Just in less than 24 hours since seeing him. He has stopped throwing up and stools are already firming up. Switching to a calmer food and a med to help soothe his tummy did it. I just can’t thank you enough. He is finally getting some rest. I highly recommend this veterinarian and team. While they may be skilled technically, they completely lack compassion every time my beloved pet is in need of urgent care. I first experienced this 30 years ago with this clinic. Then after moving back to town, I decided to give them another chance. Three times with 3 different pets, they failed with urgent care needs. It’s just not worth the grief (literally) to “keep it local.”

I was so optimistic about coming here in the beginning, but I couldn't afford to be optimistic any longer as my cat continued to decline in health and almost died under their care. I brought her in for severe weight loss a year ago and their first response was to do an x-ray, which was weird. I sent them pictures of her stool as it became more frequently diarrhea and relieved nothing in response. Finally, very recently - after my cat lost MORE WEIGHT, they asked for a stool sample. That sample should've been taken day one. So we're already very desperate at this point, and then they prescribed the WRONG MEDICATION to her. They gave me prednisone. A simple search will tell you (or any vet) that cats cannot breakdown prednisone, instead they should have prednisolone. Anyway, after that, and

Super friendly vet. They actually seemed like they liked my dog! With other vets, they were nice to my dog but didn't spend much time bonding with him. Over here, they were very patient and kind with Joey, who tends to be a shy dog. Joey actually came up to each person in the room several times to sniff and say hello, something he normally never does at the vet, because he can't relax enough!
