We took home one of Geronimo's toller pups in February and we can't say enough good things about Kelly. We had multiple conversations about her dogs and our wants and lifestyle, and ultimately paired us perfectly with our sweet Willa. She extended an open invite to meet the pups once they were old enough, and when we picked her up, we were able to meet and play with both the mom and dad of the litter as both dogs belonged to Geronimo. Willa is our first dog and first toller, and Kelly took the time to walk us through what we needed to know, answer any questions, and sent us home with a slip lead and a couple toys that smelled like home. She also provided us with the puppy's microchip and AKC registration. Kelly also exposed the puppies to children, a leash, and handling of the ears/feet/e
I brought Strait, my 16 m old labradoodle to Kelly’s for the month of October. Not only did she do an amazing job with Strait, she also worked with the two of us together twice a week during his stay. Kelly is an amazing dog and human trainer and really cares about the long term relationship people develop with their pets. Although Strait knew the basic commands when I brought him, he lacked reliability and didn’t listen well. He and I were both nervous to be apart for a month, but I have to say it was well worth it! Now that he’s home, we are working to maintain the confidence and reliability she taught us while he was with her. He’s still my snuggly pup, but now with better manners ❤️ I’m sure I will use Kelly again and would recommend her to anyone interested in improving their relation
We had a really great experience with Geronimo kennels! We had heard good things from a rescue group my parents are a part of so we decided to give it a shot. We have a very excitable and highly distracted bulldog mix. I was 6 months pregnant when we put him in the obedience program so that he would be a better listener when the baby came. We have a super sweet pup, he is older and stubborn as heck! Kelly worked with him diligently, communicated with us often, and recommended we come once a week and work with our dog so that we would learn how to handle and work with him (and he would learn to take commands from us)! He stayed with Kelly for a little over a month and is such a great dog now. He knows what he is supposed to do and is listening so much better! He’s still the same dog… joyfu
We were referred to Kelly by a colleague and decided to train here after multiple failed (and expensive) attempts with other trainers in our area. Our 2 year old 120lb Rottweiler had severe motion/sound reactivity making it impossible to walk him in our neighborhood due to the fear of him attacking literally anything and injuring either himself, us or others. After 4-6 weeks of consistent boarding and training with Kelly, I am amazed by his transformation. All our concerns were addressed both indoor and outdoor and I couldn't feel more at ease and confident when walking him outside now. This has made such a huge difference in our home! Thank you Kelly for all your hard work and commitment to Oryx! We can't wait to board him and continue training in the future! I cannot recommend Kelly and
Kelly did a great job helping my 6-month-old Brittany puppy learn basic obedience over a two-week period. He now heels well for walks, stays for sit and down stays, will go to his "place" and remain in a down, calmly resting while I do things such as water shrubs and trees, etc. He also is calmer around other dogs instead of being way too happy excited. She had him practice a lot doing obedience exercises with other dogs being distractions. I was amazed at how well he did with that during our training sessions together. He also now knows to pause getting in and out of the car, kennel, house and waits for me to let him know when to enter or exit. While still a puppy who has moments of silliness, he is calmer now and more content. He is much more responsive to me and is better at listening t
