Working with Hollis has been absolutely life-changing for both me and my dog. When we first started, my dog would bark and lunge at other dogs, making walks stressful and unpredictable. Thanks to Hollis’s patient guidance, clear instructions, and ongoing support, he has made incredible progress. He can now calmly handle walking across the street from other dogs—something I never thought would be possible! Hollis not only provides effective training techniques, but she also makes everything easy to follow and approachable, which has given me so much more confidence as an owner. Hollis has worked with our corgi/heeler mix who (we learned) is leash reactive and dog reactive. She not only taught us how to correct this but gave lots of education and explanation as to what is causing this behavior and a lot of the “why” behind her training methods. She showed us things our dog was doing that were part of his herding nature but also contributing to the issues we were having, some we did not even realize! She is very knowledgeable about dogs, their breed and tendencies within those breeds. Would recommend her to anyone who has a dog!

I recently adopted a new dog from a rescue shelter and Hollis has helped tremendously with leash walking, reactivity to bunnies and other dogs, and basic obedience training and commands. She has also helped me introduce my dog to some of the other dogs in my family in a way that is calm and fosters a healthy relationship. Would definitely recommend Hollis for any dog training needs!

Highly recommend Gentle Wolf Dog Training! Hollis and Angela have been absolutely amazing to work with as we have navigated training with our reactive dog, Bo. We’ve learned how to read Bo’s body language, a technique for walking on a leash that involves just a flat collar and leash (something we didn’t believe possible!), and how to set him up for success in different situations while also holding him accountable in ways that are fair and effective. We’ve seen such incredible progress with him, and we feel so much more confident as his people because of the tools and knowledge we’ve learned with Gentle Wolf.
