Genetic K9 is an incredible facility for all your dog training needs. We brought our mini Dachshund puppy here for the 4 week training program and are beyond grateful for the amazing instruction. The 4 week training program is great for foundational basics and the on/off leash tool is even included in the package price plus 5 group classes. This program is an incredible value for the expertise you receive during training sessions. At 7 months old our mini can hold “place” and “down” for over 20 minutes at a time, responds to leash correction during walks (which is rarely needed as she follows the “heel” command), does not bark at other dogs, is able to be in public places without barking at dogs OR people. Highly recommend Genetic K9 — Trainer Yohanis is the BEST. He is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and explains everything in a way that’s easy to understand. He helped me work through my 3-year-old German Shepherd’s reactivity, and I now feel so much more confident taking my dog out in public. I am so happy with the results of the 7 sessions of training my dogs got from Genetic Canine. I recently got 2 puppies which made our household 4 dogs in total. I had no control over any of them. I am so thrilled to say that they are acting like different dogs. My 6 year old now allows people to pet him. My 4 year old can chase geese away from the backyard and run back to me on command, without eating the geese poop which she loves. My puppies are so obedient and smart. They stay in position even when I leave the room. Amanda is amazing. I am going to get additional training for my dogs because they appear much happier now than before the training. I can’t thank Amanda enough.

We highly recommend Gentic Canine and our trainer Yohanis. After just 1 month with working with Yohanis, we see such an improvement with our doberman. He is much more attentive to us, we learned how to take him out in public and even house manners have improved. We also started attending there group classes which have been so fun. We completed the 7-week puppy class with trainer Yohanis and are so happy we did! We wanted to set our corgi puppy up for success and this was the best way to do it. Our puppy is super motivated and confident, and Yohanis tailored each lesson to her pace of learning, including in the moments when she was feeling less motivated. He answered any questions we had, asked us what we hoped to learn, and taught us best practices that we're excited continue. Staying on top of your "homework" from each class pays off! We feel much more confident as new dog parents. Highly recommend. We left every class so proud of our puppy's progress.
