On Saturday morning, March 7 2026, Onyx, my beloved furbaby of 16 years crossed over the rainbow bridge. As heartbroken and devastated as I am about losing her, I am blessed and thankful for Dr. Gary Edwards and the staff at Gateway. For 12 years of her life, Onyx was a patient here. During that time the doctors and staff were compassionate, thorough, and accommodating. As Onyx battled and survived Osteosarcoma 5 years ago, Dr. Gary was always attentive to her progress and provided sound advice on her treatment alongside the oncologist. From young pup to gentle senior, you guys were a constant source of support for Onyx and her well being. As our time together on Earth has come to an end, I am at peace knowing that she was well cared for and made to feel loved while being seen in the offic

If I could give this place zero stars I would! If you are considering or are currently using Gateway Animal Hospital to care for your pet, I would RUN NOT WALK away from their facility as fast as possible. On Tuesday morning, October 28, 2025, we took our precious Angel (a 9 week old, 12 ounce CKC registered Toy Poodle) to their facility for her puppy vaccines. On Wednesday morning, we found her foaming at the mouth, convulsing and bad diarrhea. We rushed her back to Gateway Animal Hospital and they tried for around 30 minutes to find a vein to administer fluids noting that it appeared she was over-vaccinated. When they closed their office for the day, we brought Angel home since there was no overnight care services. On Thursday, Angel's health continued to decline and at approximately 6:

the visit was great. the doc. got down to eye level with my boy. made him feel as comfortable as possible. ( which is something no other doctor has done) also took his time to make my dog feel relaxed. So much so that my dog let him touch his foot. He would not even let us touch his foot.. I would recommend this place to anyone..

The staff at Gateway were very nice and pleasant. My cat usually doesn't care for strangers but he was very calm when the tech handled him. The doctor was very sweet and didn't try to rush anything.

I’m a registered veterinary technician and was out of Of town visiting Statesboro, Georgia unfortunately the hotel that I was in my dog must’ve smelled some kind of drug or something off the parking lot. I’m gonna spare you the details but all I’m gonna say is thank God they were not even 10 minutes from me. I went in and they immediately started working on my service animal without them. He would not be here. They saved his life. I am forever grateful their Customer Service is amazing and if you’re worried about prices, they’re great but when it comes to saving your fur baby’s life, there’s no amount of money that I would not pay to save him so all I can say is this is one of the best veterinary hospitals that I have been to and when I go down and visit my family.
