Garden District Animal Hospital

I took my 14½-year companion, my dog Tiffany, to Garden District Animal Hospital during one of the most difficult moments of my life. She was very sick and suffering, and the staff treated the entire process with the utmost compassion, dignity, and professionalism. My beautiful Tiffany was put to sleep in a truly humane and respectful way. While this was an incredibly painful experience for me, the kindness and care shown by the entire team brought comfort during such a heartbreaking time. Because of the compassion of the Garden District Animal Hospital staff, I know Tiffany is now at peace. I am deeply grateful to everyone who helped us through this moment. Thank you for your empathy, respect, and exceptional care.

Dr. Hanna has been taking care of our older cat for a tumor on his leg and her care and expertise has been phenomenal. Dr. Hanna treats our kitty and us with a level of compassion that just shows she is truly passionate about her job. She gives us options without shaming us which has made handling our sick kitty a lot easier. One of her vet assistants, Nikki is also very sweet and always makes us feel welcome and shows so much love to our cat. We appreciate the Garden District Animal Hospital for all the work they do! Their kindness and dedication has made this incredibly tough situation more manageable, and we are so grateful to have them caring for our beloved Jameson.

I moved to Baton Rouge in 2023 with my then 85 pound American Bully. She had actually just gotten surgery before our move and I needed to quickly find a vet that I could trust to monitor her after care. After a recommendation from a classmate, I couldn't have chosen a better veterinarian practice. Dr. Anderson, Dr. Meade, and all of the technicians are welcoming, knowledgeable, and treat my girl as if she were their own. We are greeted warmly every visit and I never feel uneasy or question how I or my dog are being treated.The only downside to this practice is the cost a lot of times as it seems it can be a bit overpriced compared to some other local veterinarians. However, I am unsure if I would get the same care at other practices which I value, so that is ultimately why I choose to stay

I just wanted to say a quick THANK YOU to the team at Garden District Animal Hospital!! My dog doesn’t know how to handle/process the “unknown,” and unfortunately vet clinics are a scary and uncomfortable place for him. After being treated with such inconsideration at his last vet, it’s so gratifying to walk in with my Tiny Ball of Anxiety and know that he’s receiving the love, time, and comfort that he needs. Everyone I’ve interacted with at Garden District has been so kind and patient with my dog and me, and actually seem to care about their clients and their wellbeing. They’re also quick and efficient, not forcing my dog to spend unnecessary time in an anxiety-inducing location. I can’t thank you guys enough for giving Wilkie the support he needs!! 🩷
