I was a little disappointed today with my visit today, I've been seeing Dr. Ortero for years and have always left a happy owner. Today unfortunately was different, I brought my kitten in for possible ear mites, he has had all his shots, wormed, neutered etc. Instead of addressing just the ear mites, they re- vaccinated him even though he just got his last round of shots and rabies last month! That is costing more money to myself AND its NOT healthy for my kitten to get over vaccinated. While I was being checked out by the two front desk ladies, both were complaining about their day being so bad (even though they told multiple patients THEY triple booked). One receptionist said in front of customers that she would rather deal with drunks then days like today.....VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. STOP tr

They got us in quickly and were very caring and gentle with our very sick 12.5 year old pup. He’s got some very serious issues, and the doctor and staff were very accommodating in helping to make him comfortable. They followed up with us and even made a house call. Super sweet and supportive. Sandy is feeling a little happier and better and getting tons of snuggles!

I want to start by saying this is an amazing team with very kind staff. However, the cost is just too expensive. Paying over $500 for a dog’s ear infection feels unreasonable and unacceptable most I’ve ever paid in my life. For something so common in dogs where I really, I just needed some good antibiotics. Lord, I pray that online vets who can issue prescription drugs become available in Maryland soon. Grateful this team was compassionate and knowledgeable, but cannot afford to go back ever again.

I can’t thank the staff and Dr Otero enough. De Otero acted with precision to quickly identify a serious issue with our Benjamin Franklin. She got us set up with an emergency vet surgery center right away and saved our boy’s life with her actions and quick thinking.
