Fur Family Animal Hospital

I have been bringing my little guy here since he was a puppy. The team is always kind, knowledgeable, and I have complete trust in them. As a certified worrier, they never make me feel silly for asking questions or voicing concerns. A while back, my dog had to have surgery, and I had no doubt he would be in the best hands. They took such great care of him, and since I brought him home right before the weekend, they even gave me contact information in case I had any questions or concerns while they were closed. They also patiently put up with my almost daily calls throughout the healing process and never made me feel like a nuisance, which meant so much to me. I 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a vet.

So they called me saying there was an opening to get my dog her vaccination updated so we can move into a new apartment. When I got there at 8am. I was being told it’s going to be $339 for shots and heartworm test/preventative. I understand they offer them but not to already have it in the total cost. Then they turned around and boarded her, they said nothing about her being a drop off. Having them taking about $160 of unnecessary products they were trying to force down my dog’s throat that I couldn’t afford (roughly $180) she is getting her annual shots and check ups. Bring the total to $120. At 12pm they called me informing me I have to get the kennel cough vaccine because they boarded her even though I’ve been waiting in town for her. My dog Maggie loves fur family. All of the staff are wonderful, and Dr. McKeage is amazing. They are great at communicating and speedy at responding to email. Maggie used to be terrified of going to the vets but now she walks right into the office no problem. We had a mass removed from her shoulder this morning and Dr. McKeage called me after they were finished and reassured me that everything went great. They even sent me a picture of her which made my day.

Bentley and I loved Fur Family!!! They were always very friendly and helpful! Reception staff is great, especially Julie. We were only with them a short time due to being military but when it came down to making sure we had everything we need to get Bentley overseas with us they did just about everything they could. Highly recommend them and they are in network with Embrace insurance.

I have a high anxiety red heeler. Most people cannot get close to him. The ladies at this facility were so patient, until he calmed down, that for the first time ever, he sat while they checked his teeth, and got a blood sample for surgery. AMAZING!
