Sarah is the most compassionate Lady I ever met! I adopted 3 pups from an 8 pup liter smartest dogs I've ever had and beautiful ! Sarah has become a critical resource In caring for them when I travel and provides an excellent service Don't hesitate to board your animals there when needed... Cats, dogs, horses hell even cattle, great Rates and perfectly secure facilities! A True Supporter! Danny Boy !
Met the rescue with under Laurie but Sarah has been awesome with advancing the care and resources for the dogs. If you are looking for a well behaved dog, one that can be indoor/outdoor or used to country or rural living, this is the place. Awesome with fitting personalities to be paired. Donations are also always needed since many dogs they take are also elderly or has medical conditions from abandoned or abuse and unlikely to be able to be adopted.
We adopted a wonderful cat from them 11 years ago and we still have her and love her so much. We have moved with her twice since then and now live in Colorado, but still try to send cat food or money to Fur and Feather when I can. While we lived in Pie Town I did volunteer there and it was a great experience. They work so hard to take care of all the animals.
This is a very conscientious grass roots rescue organization. They strive to provide the best for the animals, often at great personal sacrifice to themselves. Many of the animals come in very rough condition and it's only after months of rehab that they are able to be adopted. Keep up the good work!
Had me QT a horse for them from a kill pen, left me with unpaid board of $800+ and left 2 of my vets with unpaid bills under MY name. They refuse to take care of this matter, been almost 2 YEARS.
