Freedom Hill Horse Rescue

I had a great tour with Terry and Cathy. I loved that I got to learn how to groom a horse and was able to interact with them.

I brought my son to an event for children at FHHR, and it was a fantastic introduction to basic horsemanship, care, and behavior. He had never been around horses before, and the volunteers did a fantastic job of teaching him how to relate to the horses in a friendly and reassuring way. This is a fantastic organization. The horses and barn cats are obviously very well cared-for and the barn and facilities are very clean and orderly. We will certainly be back and look forward to attending more of their fundraising events in the future.

Wonderful organization. The horses help the people as much as the people help the horses. They have great events with vendors, food trucks, games and rides. Beer too! Fun for the whole family, great cause.

FHHR is THE best horse rescue in Maryland! I do Saturday evening feedshifts and I have had nothing but a good experience! The horses behave well, rescues and boarders, the people know what they are doing, and if someone doesn't know then someone will teach them how. They have lots of activities, like the Horsemanship Team, fundraisers, and the ''My kid loves horse, Help!'' class which educates young children interested in horses, what it takes to take care of them and different horsemanship activities.

A great place to volunteer. I love all the horses we care for there. They are well taken care of and such sweeties.
