Franklin County Animal Control

Do not for any reason call this place unless ur wanting the animal killed! Franklin county rather line their pockets than actually get something to help our strays. I’m ashamed that it’s 2025 and nothing has been implemented to improve the outcome for our poor animals.

No one really likes the idea of control but if U’ve lived in an area that has roving “herds” of feral cats U may then appreciate a facility that will stop that situation from happening. Cats and dogs will and do reproduce like rabbits and I for one do not like to see hungry uncared for animals roving about! I love my animals and pay highly for their care and well being. I love the fact that Colbert county has a “no kill” shelter and have been told that Franklin could as well...it’s just a matter of local municipality being aware that we the locals want it enough to merit them appropriating the funds for it! Do we?

I’ve called several times over the past 2 months and keep receiving same info ; they don’t have any puppies, no kittens or cats and only a couple large/xl dogs…hard to believe with all the surrounding counties being over filled—maybe they could do a neighborly thing and take in a few from another county…makes perfect sense yes

Excellent help with handling a stray dog that wandered onto my property! Definitely planning on adopting from here in the future when we're ready for another dog.

It was dirty and not well kept! Woyld never leave an animal here for any reason!!!
