Creating a sanctuary for senior dogs is phenomenal. However, when I emailed Penny about my dog. She was unpleasant, she didn’t greet me at all. When I declined to tell her intimate details about my life situation. She was very rude and accused me of being a scammer and a bad parent. Entire time, I stayed polite and calm. I still have the emails of the conversations. I would like to put my experience out there. Her actions disappointed me. This is the dog that she turned down and called me a scammer and a bad parent.

There are not enough words to fully describe the work this sanctuary, the employees, volunteers and Penny and Pete do for the canine (and any animal truthfully) community! Between taking in older dogs that people dump and also ones that find themselves homeless due to owners deaths and horrible situations, they get to live in the lap of luxury and receive love and respect for all their days. Warm home cooked food daily, quality vet care, holistic remedies for all their ailments. It’s a dream come true! If you’re looking to dump your pet this is NOT the place. If you’re looking to make a difference then contact them and volunteer! We should all be so blessed!

What an amazing place! And their outreach program is so knowledgeable. My little senior dog, in great health suddenly stopped eating. We tried everything. Then I emailed Penny for some advice, just because I knew of her work with seniors. I had no idea of the extensive knowledge that she possessed or how much she appreciated having the opportunity to help other dog owners. She seems to have an encyclopedic knowledge of dog nutrition and gave us some great suggestions. Now my dog is asking for her meals. Penny is kind considerate but direct and plain spoken which I greatly appreciate. If you call and want to lie or dance around the truth like the disgruntled reviewer, you are not going to be happy with Penny. You should take a look at yourself.

Frankie and Andy’s Place is a deeply committed, exceptional senior dog sanctuary. Their transparency, thoroughness, and expertise in dog care ensure that each dog under their care lives its best life. Beyond that, they go above and beyond by supporting pet owners through their pet food pantry and Senior Solutions program, helping beloved pets stay with their families when surrender to a shelter might otherwise be the only option. Thank you, Penny and the entire team, for your tireless dedication.

We have donated items and money to Frankie and Andy’s Place multiple times, and couldn’t think of a better organization to give to. Penny has ALWAYS been grateful and kind and her heart for these dogs shows in her commitment to this organization!! We are thankful there is a place like Frankie and Andy’s and will continue to support their mission!!
