I adopted my sweet cat moon from them. She was loved by the staff even before she found her forever home with us. Tonight we bought her back in because she unfortunately passed away. The man working the front desk was so extremely kind and patient with me during this difficult time. Thank you for giving me my sweet fur baby and thank you for handling her after her passing while we wait for her to be picked up for cremation. I find comfort in knowing she is in good hands with such wonderful staff.

Horrible place. Found a Dog on the side of the road and wanted to help take him to a shelter. Went to the visitors office and got a base pass. Brought the sweet little pup there and they wouldn’t accept him. They said it was because he was not found on base, I found him in Killeen so that’s a stupid rule. I understand they couldn’t take him because of the rules, but the ladies at the front desk were beyondddd rude. They were no help and said “well someone is probably looking for him anyways”, mind you, he’s skin and bones and has major injuries to his back paws. Did he have a collar? Yes but clearly he was dumped or his previous owners do not care about where he is. They were rude and basically threatened to press charges on me for abandonment if I left him there, I never said I was going

The facility is gloomy and not inviting. The staff seem negative when you walk in the door. It reminds me of a horror movie. The uncertainty of his life has me on edge. I had to surrender an abandoned dog, Brownie. He is absolutely wonderful. However, I have been caring for Brownie, who was left with us for over a year. The owner did come back for him. My work schedule is so busy and requires me to travel. I could not continue to care for him. Since I live on post, I could only surrender him to the shelter on post. Denise, at the front desk, said he will probably be euthanized because their shelter is full and he is pit/lab mix. She was not providing me any hope. Denise said it is up to the director, Amanda, who was not there for my surrender appointment I made two weeks ago. I feel they

This shelter should be ashamed of themselves. Unprofessional staff and the biggest lack of communication I have ever had. My wife & I found a clearly abandoned dog in our garage area that was in need of care so we fed her, bathed her and played with her & my wife fell in love with her. Although we wanted it, we did what was the right thing to do and took it to the shelter to get any help it could and a chance for its owner to claim her. When I arrived at the shelter on a Wednesday I told them we wanted the dog if nobody claimed her. they stated they keep dogs for 72 hours before she would be released back to me on Sunday morning at 9. When they took the dog they also took my daughter’s blanket we had the dog wrapped in and said come back for her Sunday morning. I even called on Friday to R
