Dr. Doherty is an amazing provider; he is very intelligent, thoughtful & a great communicator. I have been going to Fork Vet for many years with my cats and my dog. My dog recently was having complicated medical issues in his elderly years, Dr. Doherty was a gem throughout the illness. Dr. Doherty always called me back promptly, talking to me in length about his thoughts & recommendations. I thoroughly appreciated all the time, effort & dignity he provided during many calls to me during that challenging time. I lived right next to the Fork area for many years, then I moved further away 2 years ago. Just wanted to publicly share how wonderful Dr. Doherty and his staff are. Recently our pug Lenny went through a terrible ordeal. He had an extreme allergic reaction to something which caused him to get very sick and experience a systemic reaction affecting his skin, his appetite and his overall well being. Dr. Doherty was so compassionate and so extremely thorough and even after visiting the ER on a Saturday night, Dr. D was the only Dr. able to provide our beloved Lenny relief. I don't know if Lenny's condition was potentially fatal but I think it was since his labs were a mess and he had stopped eating. In my heart and mind Dr. D saved Lenny's life. I'm forever grateful!! 🙏

I wish there were more stars to highly recommend this exceptional vet. Dr Doherty and Staff at Fork Veterinary Hospital is one of the most wonderful, compassionate, caring and hard working vets that we could ever ask for. We had our precious dog for 15 years and you always went above and beyond to answer our calls and questions. We always got an appointment right away and the staff is very attentive and listens to your needs and never rushes. It was so difficult putting down our dog just recently, but knowing he was in the hands of Dr Doherty and staff gave us great peace as he was treated with abundant grace ,respect and dignity. Thank you for everything you have done for our family. We appreciate all of you for taking care of our baby.
