I hate leaving bad reviews, especially for family owned business; however, I think people really need to know this before ordering. I ordered from Critter Depot for 5+ years and never had one issue with them. However, after an price increase, I decided I would try another company. The first order I placed with Fluker's was fine. The second one I placed was INFESTED with ants. They had killed almost every cricket and the few left alive were not able to be used, as they were covered with ants. Fluker's gave me a credit and I placed another order. That order also came INFESTED with ants. There is no way these ants entered in transit. The experience with this company has been very disappointing. I have had 3 or 4 orders that came in which a large portion of my crickets were dead. The first order was made right with a replacement at no charge. Afterward, the company will replace a partial of your total-leaving you to pay shipping again and not always covering all of what you lost. I have experienced receiving very inconsistent sizing when it comes to crickets. The most severe incident being a situation where I ordered 250 crickets (3/8 inch) and received 250 HUGE 1 inch crickets. These guys arrived packaged in a large cardboard box, uncontained so that when I opened the box, these massive critters jumped EVERYWHERE! I have tried this company time and time again, hoping for better results because their price points are mu

I ordered 5000 large mealworms. Customer service is great! I was not expecting the way they were packed. I've ordered live mealworms several times from different online farms. They've always come in a mesh bag with paper in the bag. These were just loose in the box with egg crates. I was horrified when I cut open the box. They were everywhere! Crawling out of the box. Under the flaps, under the screen that was stapled over the vent windows. I was planning to order 10,000 every month for my bluebirds, but I don't think I can go thru that again. They were all alive and active, and shipping was quick! I've searched YouTube looking for how to unpack live mealworms and all of them are in mesh bags. I've read all the reviews here and no one has commented on how they are packed. How do you unpack

This has been the BEST place I have ever worked with and ordered from. They are on top of everything and if a mistake is made they fix it immediately. I really want to put a spot light on their REPTA+BOOST It saved my bearded dragons life. When she came out of brumation she was extremely dehydrated and underweight (out of our control we did what we could) this got her hydrated and all the vitamins she needed to get her system back up and now the vet just gave her a clean bill of health! Zuri is my entire life and I am beyond thankful that this was available especially if someone can’t get into an emergency vet. While my first two shipments were flawless and all live feeders arrived alive, this order was a disappointment… I paid to overnight 1000 one inch crickets as I had determined 2000 was a few too many to keep… So, I paid twice what the crickets cost to get them safely here. I placed the order very early Monday morning. By midday I had received notice the flight was delayed, but they would arrive before 7pm, Tuesday evening. I was hopeful as we had cloudy weather… The crickets were not delivered until after I had gone to bed and by the time I opened them at the crack of dawn, several hundred were dead. Now, I’m looking at having to order again, weeks before I should have. I would rather have had my order held back than sent on a delayed flight.
