Fish Fix

Well worth the drive! Be prepared to spend time looking at all their fish! One of the largest selections of fish I’ve seen with clean tanks, clean store and knowledgeable people. You are greeted by a very nice tank of discus, to the left is their mascot a nice big puffer that loves to follow you! Amazing selection of fish and all things fishy! Lots of driftwood too! The owners are sweet and very helpful too.

The best freshwater aquarium store I've found. Great facilities, clean tanks, healthy fish/inverts with a diverse selection, good prices and super friendly owners. I would pay an admission fee just to take a few hours to look through all of their tanks - it is that good.

My husband has been looking for a fish store like this for a while now. He has a planted aquarium and always looks at the chains in DSM and the two local stores in town and never has much luck finding a good selection. Today he found out about Fish Fix and so we made the hour trip (after calling and asking about their plant selection) and we are SO glad we did and will be regulars in the future. The store AND tanks are so clean and well cared for. You can tell they take pride in their business. Al helped us out and he was so friendly. We'll be back Fish Fix! 😁

Best in the biz! Fish Fix is the real deal. Amazing selection of freshwater fish, the quality of the fish is excellent. A quick scenic drive from Des Moines makes it worth the trip!

A+ experience. I bought 20 fish online to be shipped to PA. The fish I bought are still relatively rare and sought-after, yet the pricing at Fish Fix was very fair. Al communicated with me every step of the way to figure out the best ship date for them to arrive safely. I got them in today and they are stunners. I have some that I aquired from a different seller and the ones that came from Fish Fix were twice the size and more colored up. I am not a novice in the hobby and can tell they were well fed in the 6 months that Fish Fix had them before I bought them. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from then again should I decide to add more to the school later on! Thank you Al and the rest of the staff.
