First State Urgent Vet

Outstanding diagnostics. After two visits to our (new) regular vet who didn't seem to take much notice even of the symptoms we pointed out, our kitten kept getting sicker. We took her to Dr. Laurie instead today, and she immediately discovered an abscess, treated it, and prescribed antibiotics. (The meds our own regular vet prescribed were completely wrong.) We will definitely go straight back to First State for any acute veterinary issues.

We have been taking our pets to First State Urgent Vet for over a year. They are so helpful and very compassionate! The staff is fantastic and the vets are great to work with. I highly recommend them.

This vet was great. We came in with our cat for a follow up appointment for our cat who was hit by a car. Dr. Athey was truly wonderful. She took a lot of time with us discussing all of our options, learning about what happened and the care he’d gotten previously at the emergency vet. She uncovered an underlying issue we didn’t understand before and gave us great advice with budget and our cats comfort in mind. Obviously you never want to be at the vet for an emergency, but if you have to be this is a great place to go.

Very impressed with First State Urgent Care! Signed up online for the waitlist and brought him in. The entire staff was super friendly, including the reception, nurses and the vet! Tucker was nervous and they were so patient and kind to him. They saw Tucker right away, were super upfront and transparent about their pricing. Tucker got some tests, fluids, and meds and is already doing better today! Super grateful for this place. Saved us a trip to the ER and will have peace of mind until his appointment with his regular vet. Thank you guys so much!

We had a great experience at First State Urgent Care today! They were able to see my dog quickly for an issue with his eye and the doctor was very thorough. The staff was friendly and professional. My dog is usually very anxious at the vet but he seemed calm and comfortable here! They have an online wait list you can join so it notifies you when it’s time to head over to be seen. This way you don’t have to sit and waste time in the waiting room. It was an overall great experience and I am glad we found this clinic!
