Firefly Veterinary Urgent Care

This clinic and its staff are wonderful. I found a young kitten in the afternoon and he was sick and in rough shape. I phoned Firefly and they were ready for him as soon as I could get there. When I arrived I was checked in quickly by the warm, welcoming receptionists. The clinic itself is bright and clean. Were were taken to the exam room quickly and the little fuzzball was taken back for quick blood tests and checkup by the skilled vet techs and Dr. Orlando, who loved on him like he was their own. The charges were explained beforehand so everything was transparent and there were no surprises. The only urgent vet I knew of had a five hour wait when I called. My cat had an abscess that was very painful. I just couldn't take him and make him sit in a waiting room for five hours. I kept calling back, hoping the time would go down .. but nope. Then finally, the receptionist said, you could try Firefly! Who? Firefly! Here's their number! Well thank God she gave me their name and number!!! I called ahead of time to be told there was currently no wait. What?! I flew over there with my cat as fast as I could. We arrived right around 7. We were taken back almost immediately and placed in a waiting room. Super cute too! Kitty furniture for climbing, and just very calming. My cat didn't seemed stressed either. I first spoke to this clinic on the phone to see if they would be able to help with my bearded dragon who was having a prolapse emergency. The lady that answered the phone was extremely professional, went and talked to the vet about the symptoms my bearded dragon was having, and gave an honest opinion that they felt he needed a more intensive care facility than what they were able to provide. They recommended we take him to an emergency exotic specialist and gave us all of the recommended hospitals closest to us. Unfortunately after his procedure at the emergency facility he declined rapidly the following day and did not make it. I called back again asking if I would be able to bring him in to confirm that he had passed. Again on the phone extremely professional, caring, and compassionate.

We were very impressed with Firefly Vet Urgent Care. We couldn’t get in with our regular vet and wanted our dog seen prior to going out of town. We were a walk-in. We didn’t wait long. They were very caring and thorough. They even followed up with a phone call the next day. I will definitely use them again if I can’t get an appointment with my veterinarian.

Handled my cat & family with the utmost care and respect. Gave us blankets to wrap ourselves in when we were cold & provided us with the end of life room until I was ready to let my cat go. They re-assured me this was the only choice which affirmed and settled my mind and heart. Awhile later, they sent a note of condolences. I highly recommend this location for emergency services & cannot thank them enough for their empathy and compassion during the hardest moment for me & my family.
