Rick worked wonders for not only my Rottweiler, Axil, but for me as well. He taught Axil place. He taught me to use several commands. Axil is a rescue with a sad past history causing him some behavioral issues that Rick simply doesn’t tolerate. He really knows how to handle any dog he comes across. From sit, stay, come down- good down- good boy- that’s a good boy Axil. He teaches the commands and with practice, practice and consistency your dog is in your control.If I could give Rick 10 stars I would.

Rick is an extremely experienced trainer. He is consistent, knowledgeable, and patient with both dogs and owners. I highly recommend him to anyone interested in quality training.

Rick Alto is the best trainer I have ever encountered. Notice, I did not say dog trainer. His job would have been so much easier if I had arranged for my dog to live at his house and be trained by him. I got my dog at 11 months from the breeder, so I had lots of catching up to do. All my life I was used to getting puppies at 8 weeks old. Quite a different story when your new dog is a very large 55# puppy with no initial training. Rick knew at the get go, (I hadn’t figured this out yet) that his job was to train me. And, sometimes I got it, and other times I was clueless and it took me weeks before I could consistently do any one thing he suggested, properly. We were referred to Rick because of issues with our reactive dog. We have worked with him weekly for 6 months and have learned considerable skills on how to handle our husky mix rescue. Rick is incredibly knowledgeable on how to train and handle dogs and really good at working with us. He is patient and generous with his time. We met him at several public locations, such as Home Depot where we could work with our dog in outdoor and indoor more crowded situations. We definitely feel much better prepared to continue training and managing our dog to reduce his anxiety. I think it's an important point that he trained us and not just our dog.
