Essex Veterinary Center

This was our first experience bringing our rabbit to a veterinarian. You folks got us right in, and were very compassionate while scheduling the visit. The staff at the office is very knowledgeable, kind and answered all of my questions. After the visit, I felt that I had th information necessary to care for our bunny, and my mind was much more at ease. Thank you so much, everyone!

I would give 1000 stars if I could. After an awful experience at another vet’s office in the area (where we ended up having to leave before being seen), I was nervous to say the least. I was so pleasantly surprised when I met Lucy and Dr. Bradley. They treated Mini Muffin (my chicken) with the utmost care and respect and made recommendations with her quality of life at the forefront, as it should be. She was seen quickly and I was giving all the time I needed to say goodbye. The care we received was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced in my years of owning pets. Sending a sincere, heartfelt thank you.

We love the pace, transparency, information, patience with our questions, and the charges are reasonable. We trust Essex Vet Center. We found them through a friend after a VERY traumatic experience at a Vet closer to home some months ago. Since we have made the switch, we have seen the team a few times (elderly pets), and it has been the best experience. They are restoring my trust in veterinary medicine.

Staff is great, they don't push for unnecessary tests, you pay right in the exam room. They actually listen and don't blow off my concerns. And they're respectful of my dog's boundaries. First place I brought my dog to she screamed and they had trouble treating her. She doesn't like what they do here, but they watch her and give her a break if she's starting to get agitated. It's made a huge difference. We can get in and out quickly and my dog isn't upset after.

Dr. Miquel and her team were nothing short of amazing! For my first visit there with my chameleon they cared so much and were eager to help! Dr. Miquel is very intelligent and personable and made sure I understood what was going on and how to improve their condition. Their staff have continued to check in even after the visit to make sure they are doing better! While I was there I saw dogs, bearded dragons, my chameleon, and even a chicken! Well worth the drive from NY, I wish they were closer!
