Elmwood Vet Clinic

Although this place is a little old school, I REALLY liked the vet. She is brusque in speech (not rude, just to the point) but honestly the best experience I've had. She neutered my brachycephalic cat (A Persian so not always easiest to desex) and it was the cleanest incision I've ever had on a cat. He healed fast, and she has good prices. They are cash only but she cares about the animals and you can tell. I've gone to a lot of different vets, even Emergency vets because i have anxiety over my cats health, and since I arrived in NC shes the best vet I've came across.

Would like her more if she had a good bedside manner, like speaking to the animals, maybe they would be less afraid of her. I love veterinarians that speak to animals ( their patients).. prices are reasonable, I will still recommend her. Just wish she would be more attentive to the animals. When she is not in a good mood it shows. She is very honest though, so can't complain too much.

We just had our 3rd stray cat neutered and vaccinated in order to bring them inside to join our menagerie. Elmwood Vet Clinic has been fabulous every time. They’re kind and compassionate, and the cost for their services is more than reasonable.

This Lady is the best, she saved me over $1000 removing growths from my pitbull and was able to do the job within a week of looking at her....I see the comments here about her being rude on the phone, I thought the same, but she is super nice in person trust me

My criteria for a 'good vet' are probably more demanding, since I pride myself for being fairly knowledgeable of the medical/veterinary field, than the average dog owner. I also prefer to pay for expertise, than for kiddie talk and a treat to my dogs, and certainly don't appreciate veterinarians racking up bills with unnecessary or even unprovided procedures. Hence, I was looking for a honest vet, who has compassion for animals. I have found this in Dr Benitez!
