Eastern Shore SPCA

Thank you for our Gilly Dog! Hers is a story of how a compassionate staff (thank you Eastern Shore SPCA!!) kept a dog healthy and social while her siblings went to forever homes. When we first visited, Gilly sat calmly in her kennel, watching us walk past. When we had our first in-dog visit, she ran up, put her paws on my knees and stared into my eyes: It was over. Thank you to all at SPCA of the Eastern Shore for taking care of this love bundle until we could make the match. Your care and love is a big part of her life story.

Got my kitties neutered from here. Took about 4 months to get into the neuter scooter, paid over $350 for the two of them, but when we picked them up my poor baby was COVERED in his own urine. Literally looked like someone splashed a whole water bucket on him. My other cat covered in blood, and both sent home covered with fleas. they didn’t even send my babies with cones to protect themselves. I don’t understand why they couldn’t call us about maybe helping our poor cat getting cleaned up instead of sending them both home uncomfortable and smothered in their own fluids. Called them 5 minutes after picking them up and sent straight to voicemail… ridiculous. Called local hospital and said this was unacceptable from the SPCA and provided us with cones. NEVER AGAIN!!

They're just amazing! I try to give back, as often as I can. I know how much money, love, and care, goes into each special animal that stays at the SPCA. Adopted my big girl, Zoso from them. I love her so much! 😽💗🐕‍🦺💗🐕🐾🐈

Never dealt with this place before, but from my one experience, they don't really seem to prioritise the dogs finding a proper home over how the workers feel about potential new pet owners. They stated they never looked at our application, this was about 3 weeks now. I have given up and began our search else where. Very strange, to accept an application and then not look at it just based off us coming in to walk thru and fill one out. Maybe someone didn't like how we acted or looked I don't know but, I find it strange. Should only take 48 hours to look over an application as stated on any SPCA website. It's not like we live in a city and your getting over whelmed by application.

Several trips, calls, application turned in review said to take 24-48 hours nothing. Guess it’s like the other reviews on here just depends on what you look like as to whether a pet is going to a good home or not.
