DSL-Dog as a Second Language Dog Training

We cannot say enough about Alfredo and what he has done for our two dogs! I went from not being able to walk my 80 pound chocolate lab because I couldn't control his exuberance to walking BOTH dogs at once hands free. Alfredo was diligent about trying different methods to find what worked best for each one of them. My husband and I joked that we knew when it was about time for Alfredo to get to our house becasue both dogs would be waiting at the door a good 30 minutes prior to his arrival. The bottom line is the investment was well worth it! Us and our dogs are much happier.

I highly recommend Alfredo and his team . As a veterinarian who has worked with Alfredo and his clients, I have seen many success stories. Many times he has taken dogs with difficult behavioral issues and transformed them into well adjusted members of the family. I recently sent a puppy we adopted on a whim to Alfredo for bootcamp. I thought he had great potential to be a great dog, but with our work schedules we did not have the time to invest into the training needed to help with his mouthiness and his desire to herd small children and cats. He is doing much better than I could have hoped for, and jokingly, I think the small children should be the next ones to camp. Alfredo and his staff were very caring and professional throughout the entire process. Highly recommend.

We love DSL and are so grateful for their services. We adopted a 12 month old puppy that had only lived in a shelter. The poor thing needed lots of training to adapt to life in our home so we decided to hire DSL for the job. The one on one sessions once per week is exactly what we needed. The entire family participated to learn how we could all help our Gilbert adjust. I'm happy to report that with the help of the DSL training our Gilbert is thriving in our home! Alfredo has done wonders to help both Steve and myself in handling Boudreaux our standard 5 year old Poodle get acclimated to new situations. Alfredos training philosophy and style are incredibly effective and we saw results in just a few days. Alfredo was able to train Boudreaux to stay, remain calm when having guests, walk nicely on a leash, and not to bark at passing vehicles. We are so grateful for Alfredo and his sweet wife Sonny’s time, attention and expertise and would absolutely recommend them to anyone. I want to share the experience I had with DSL Dog training. My big best friend Gus needed a little direction. I would described him as the super friendly drunk guy at the bar. He looooves everyone, but not everyone loves him. Gus is a 75 lbs. 4 y.o. Boxer. We started with the boot camp. He responded well, but it was quite obvious we needed a little more. We ended up doing the off lead training. It was the best thing we ever did. Cera was Gus's trainer. She was patient and thorough with her training. Gus was transformed into an obedient, well behaved dog. Don't get me wrong, he still loves everyone, but now he listens to them when they have had enough of his love.
