If you’re looking for a well-run, positive place to drop your dog off for daycare or boarding, Dog Over Breed is fantastic. We’ve been taking our pup there since she was just 4 months old, and now at 11 months she still loves it. The new Concord facility is clean, easy to get to, and very well maintained. The owner has been incredibly helpful with advice throughout our dog’s young age, and it’s been a wonderful place for her socialization. We can’t recommend Dog Over Breed enough! Mo and his team are absolutely amazing with dogs. We adopted our American Bully a little over two years ago, and while she’s extremely friendly, she can be reactive at times. Mo and his team have been incredible at helping her with training and socialization. They’ve also taught us so much about how to work with her, which has made a huge difference at home. Whenever we travel for an extended period, we board her with Dog Over Breed, and we always feel completely confident that she’s in the best hands. It’s such a relief to know that not only is she being cared for, but she’s also continuing her training and socializing in a safe, loving environment. I am SO lucky to have found Dog Over Breed! My dog Bean is a ball full of energy. I've tried boarding at places like Wag Hotels before but they often put her in a room by herself because she had "too much energy" and they either didn't have the time or staffing to watch her. Dog Over Breed is a completely different experience. Bean gets to hang out with a bunch of dog friends ALL DAY and she enjoys every second of it. Because of all the dogs there she's always able to find another high energy dog friend to play with and they keep each other busy, and I even get lots of videos of her playing around! I never like leaving Bean when I travel, but now I can do it guilt free because I know she's having the time of her life while I'm gone. Sometimes she even seems more sad than happy to return

I used this dog hotel a couple years ago and had a horrible experience. The owner made me bring my dog in for a $50 daycare session to make sure my dog would be a good fit(looking back the first red flag should have probably been when the owner told me to pay in cash only). I have never had to do this before but thought it was somewhat understandable. It went fine so I had my dog stay for a week. When I picked him up he had peed his bed which is surprising, because I do not have issues with that. Even when he's been home alone for 6 hours. They apologized for it and said they washed his bed(they didn't). Later that night my dog was up all night coughing. Turns out he had kennel cough. I find it interesting there are so many good reviews on here where as on yelp there are worse stories tha

Dog Over Breed has been an amazing place for my dog Lázaro. They do an amazing job ensuring he is always well behaved, always training on how to walk with a pack on and off leash, and their grooming services are stellar. There have been several times when we needed to board Lázaro and Dog over Breed always comes through assisting us with our Furrson. I would give them 1,000 stars if possible! Mo and Vic love what they do and you can tell, my dog Lázaro is always super happy to see them! Best daycare on the east bay hands down!
