We brought home our ~4 month puppy after doing so much research online on various training methods, and honestly felt overwhelmed with the myriad of often conflicting guidelines. In doing research on local trainers, we saw the review for Sarah at Dog Couch and thought it sounded too good to be true! However, after 5 sessions of Foundation training, we now have the tools and common language to communicate and guide him into being the best dog he can be. Sarah is attentive and clear in her directions, and helped us feel confident in our leadership skills. Cooper is also more confident, assured in what we want him to do, and his world has opened up so much now that he can properly walk on a leash and knows basic commands. Having Sarah's dogs participate in the training to teach our puppy ho

We just finished a 5-week course with Sarah, and we are beyond thrilled with the results. After a recent move, our 8-year old dog, Brady, began consistently barking when left alone. We also were interested in off leash training. In just five weeks, Brady has completely surprised us. Sarah is knowledgeable, patient, and truly passionate. She gave us the practical tools that helped us better communicate with our dog, and the progress has been incredible. We’re so grateful and couldn’t recommend Sarah more for anyone looking for real results and a stronger bond with their dog.

Sarah,Jonathan, and Mariah are simply THE BEST. I recently adopted/rescued a 1yr old 7 lb Chihuahua mix from Texas. She (Zoe) was afraid of everything and everyone and barked excessively (including our first visit with Sarah). After just (1) visit with Sarah, I immediately saw significant and positive behavior changes with Zoe. Sarah and her team are very personable and teach us dog owners how to understand and teach our Best Friends positive behaviors. I highly recommend “The Dog Coach” for all of your dog training needs.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Sarah and everyone at Dog Coach LLC. When I first brought my husky mix pup home I was having a lot of trouble with recall. I spent hours training him on my own only to be convinced I’d never be able to fully trust him off-leash. My absolute favorite thing in the world is walking through the woods with my dog every day, and it felt like that dream was gone before it ever began. Sarah changed everything in just five sessions. Not only did she give me the confidence and skills to safely walk him off leash, she also corrected every bad behavior he was exhibiting, including ones I didn’t even realize were actually him being “fresh.” Her knowledge is incredible, but what makes her truly special is her personality. She’s kind, patient, and genuinely fun to

I have had 4 Labrador Retrievers, and have taken puppy classes in the past, but this is the first time I have worked with a trainer one-on-one and done e-collar training. The change in my dog (Oats') behavior has been amazing! Before I started training with Sarah, Oats barked almost incessantly in our house. She ate through 4 seatbelts in my car. She pulled hard on the leash whenever I tried to walk her. My answer to her behavior was always to exercise her more off-leash. As my husband put it, "You spend half the day just trying to manage Oats!" With Sarah, we were able to teach my dog to relax and not be so highly reactive. The crate training, in particular, has helped give me more time to get things done when home. And since I have added a crate to my car, my seatbelts have been saved!
