Dirty Dogs & Smelly Cats

I have an Australian Shepherd and my husband and I decided to give Dirty Paws and Smelly Cats a try because our old groomer unfortunately had to go out of business due to medical reasons. When dropping off our dog, my husband showed the groomer pictures of a past service where we liked the haircut and verbally told the groomer what we wanted and didn’t want, specifically requesting that she did not shave our dog. Due to our work schedules, my FIL helped out and picked up our dog. My husband and I received photos and videos of our dog, with her hair shaved. I have never left a bad review anywhere so I called up the establishment to try and work out the issue and asked to speak to the manager. 100% do not recommend. The staff was extremely rude and unprofessional to my family over a botched shave given to an Australian Shepherd (which everyone, even people who aren’t groomers, knows not to shave a dual coat dog breed). When they inquired about what happened since they specifically asked and stated multiple times to NOT shave their dog, asked for accountability, and then a refund they were met with hostility and the complete opposite. I can’t imagine being so prideful as to not admit an error in service let alone not admit that the shave itself was done very poorly. You can literally see the shave lines. If someone asks you not to shave, and you do, there’s no “miscommunication” you just do not care about your customers. The business owner finally replied after 2 days and backed

The staff was extremely rude to friends of mine to the point where they refused to speak to them, take calls, or let them speak to the owner about a botched haircut they gave. They shaved an Australian Shepard and claim it’s what the owners wanted. Every Australian Shepard owner knows they can’t be shaved. Can staff not use Google? The poor dog will NEVER grow back hair the same and the staff won’t even apologize let alone issue a refund.

This place was super unprofessional and just overall poor service. They do not do what I asked them to do trim wise to my dog. When I called to explain they were very rude and didn’t care that they messed up. Do not take your animals here

My cat gets his nails trimmed there. They are so accommodating and help me taking him in and out as I use a cane
