Dirk’s Fund Shelter

Great shelter/rescue. They helped us find a great dog who fits our family perfectly. Our pup was rescued from a poor situation but once we were introduced and able to adopt her you would never know most of what she experienced in the first part of her life. The Dirk’s staff of volunteers really care about the animals in their care and work with them to get rehabilitated and eventually adopted. Dirks had a good vetting process and kept us well informed during the adoption process and have continued to keep in contact afterwards.

We are forever thankful that Dirk's adopted our 2 sweet girl goodlen doodles to us. They were very diligent to make sure that our home was the quality these girls deserved. The whole process made me trust them and gave them trust in me. I love these girls so much and cant wait to have many many more years together with them.

What a great experience adopting Scout. (Ended up NOT changing her name. She's a wonderful house horse with lots of neighbors and their dogs in her circle. She still hates riding in the car but we're working on it. She walks nicely on a leash

Our family recently adopted a Golden Retriever from Dirk’s Fund last November. The process was smooth from start to finish. The staff was friendly and willing to answer any and all of our questions. I was impressed by how well the volunteers presented and showed the pet for adoption. Their interaction with our dog reassured we were making the right decision. I would certainly recommend Dirk’s Fund to all my family and friends.

Hopefully they will be able to get their wonderful dogs out into the community.More for more visibility and more adoptions. If they do larger dogs, but these larger dogs are so well.Behaved and are so absolutely sweet. Take the time to visit. And if you've ever considered a doctrine, a large dog, start here. These smaller shelters are some of the best.
