The care here is friendly and knowledgeable. I always leave feeling listened to and informed. Going with 4 stars because every single visit, I am stuck waiting in the exam room for 30+ minutes (yes, really). I have yet to be seen on time. Hopefully they can get that piece figured out!

Update! I still recommend going here. They provided great care for my 12 year old great dane. We had to put down my beloved dane. The staff at this Animal Hospital provided compassion and great care for my old boy. My dog had an accident and needed treatment.. they were able to have a look at her between appointments I just called ahead of time and dropped her off. I'm very pleased and grateful they can check her over. They're friendly and great with my dogs. Little spendy but worth every penny!

I came here to put my beloved dog down after his on going battle with cancer. I was visiting Detroit Lakes from Washington, D.C. to spend my dog’s final days at the lake house. I was very satisfied with the service provided at this animal hospital. The staff and vets were very friendly and accommodating. The whole process was smooth and peaceful. Thank you all again for making my dog’s final moments as comfortable as possible!

Such a wonderful group! The whole staff is friendly and has a desire to give your pet the best vet experience a pet can get. My cat does very well with them even after a 1 hour car ride to agitate her. They show her love and patience when she gets angry, and thanks to Churu she now has a favorite snack!

Over-priced and poor customer service. This hospital placed more importance on having regular billing than on our dog's health. After spending several thousand dollars over a number of months to rehabilitate our diabetic dog, this hospital denied us insulin if we didn't continue the costly glucose curves. At this point in the process, these curves were not providing helpful information nor improving our dog's quality of life. Our dog was doing fine and had been maintaining good health, but they wanted to continue the billing schedule and refused medication knowing our dog needed insulin twice per day to survive. What bothered me the most with this experience was that neither Dr. Parsons nor the owner had the professional decency to tell us that they would be refusing medication for our
