We committed to our Mitzi one day before a planned trip out of town. From Sunday to Thursday I was counting the moments until we picked her up.We met her at an adoption event. Best impetus decision I had ever made. I had been planning on getting a puppy and then worried about our hours and such. Picked her up at the event and she snuggled in and went to sleep and I was done. she is so sweet and so smart And desert tails made the adoption process seamless. We at so in love with this little cutie. A funny aside. Our son and family live in town and have 2 awesome dogs. We had a pre scheduled trip about a month after we got her . No problem the kids will take excellent care of her. But day 4 of the 6 day trip I get a text from my DIL. We have a problem. We can not give this baby up. So we now
We adopted an adorable little Chiweeny (chihuahua/ wiener dog mix) from Desert Tail’s at an adoption event they were hosting in Chandler. The ladies were incredibly kind, and very informative when we asked questions. With the age of our pup, we did a foster to adopt, as she still had to get spayed about a week after we took her home. We appreciated this offer because we needed to see how she would do with our other 14 year old dog at home. When it came time to drop Winnie off, we’d fallen in love and the ladies at Desert Tail made everything easy. We were kept informed of Winnie’s surgery and recovery, then signed all the paper work to make it official. I would recommend this rescue to anyone!! They clearly care about the dogs and make sure they’re found to good homes! Fast forward 2.5 mo
Thank you will never be enough! I adopted Dixie from Desert Tails last year and it has single-handedly been the best decision of my life. Desert Tails was incredibly accommodating and easy to work with, even for me when I flew in last minute from Omaha, NE to get her. Their records were meticulous and the transition was seamless. I forever owe them for bringing the biggest blessing to my life.
A wonderful "no kill" local shelter, caring for all fur babies waiting to be rescued. Happy Tails ending for us: We are so blessed to have found our new rescue girl Java home where she belongs! Meeting Rachel from DTS who showed us pics/video of the furbabies available @ Desert Tails Shelter rescued from Texas border area- I just fell in "puppy love" seeing Java! Her quirky personality, bouncy and adventurous personality and fluffy wuffy tail we had to meet/greet her. We visited the clean/active/busy facility greeting with barks, tail wags and wiggle butts. - her energy/bouncy and cute smiles just fit her new name like lots of coffee- aka Java Girl. Meeting her sister Angel (current dog) both dogs sniffed/discussed and our hearts were SOLD! We knew the family fit was perfect! We have her
