Rescued my bunny Beatrix from here and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They care about the animals and were so happy she was finding a home! I love her so much already, if I could give them a 100 star rating I would. Adopt don't shop!! I added some pics of B free roam living her best life so they could see she is loved and safe and happy!

Was denied an adoption because my vet said I didn’t refill my meds for my dog. They don’t even know anything about the situation. So the 13 year old dog I was willing to give a good last home too stayed. Hope he finds a good home. Both my dogs were well taken care of and lived to 13 years old. Ridiculous. No wonder the shelter is so full.

Brought my son to the reading room, although no visitors were there, so they allowed us to sit with the kittens. My son can't wait to go back and read. Thank you, Currituck County animal shelter, for letting us come in and visit!

Easy process to apply to adopt our newest 4-legged family member. Staff was knowledgeable and clearly care about the animals in their care, striving to place each in loving homes.

My boyfriend and I adopted Blue, a Treeing Walker Hound (Col Adams), about 5 years ago. He helped Robin through a long illness, and now he is my travel buddy and friend. What an awesome dog. Thank you for such a blessing.
