I've been going to Cumming Veterinary Clinic for over a decade now, and they've never let me down. As someone who's dealt with a few vets over the years, I can say this place stands out for being professional, thorough, and genuinely caring without all the fluff. The team (including Dr. Dorton when I've seen her) know their stuff—great diagnostics, clear explanations, and they don't push unnecessary stuff. When my senior Golden had some mobility issues a while back, they caught it early, laid out realistic options, and worked with me on a plan that kept him comfortable and active longer than I expected. Same with routine stuff: vaccines, dentals, even boarding when I travel for work—they handle it efficiently and my dogs always come back happy and well-cared for. No long waits, no surpris

My dog has been a patient of Dr. Fitzsimmons for 4 years now, but I boarded her here for the first time. It was incredibly easy to set up the reservation online and the staff was great answering my endless questions. My girl was boarded for a week and also had 1:1 play time twice a day. The best part was the sent me photos each day during her play times. I loved being able to see her each day and know she was doing well. They also called me at one point because she wasn’t eating and asked if they could administer an appetite stimulant to get her eating again. I loved that they reached out to me and let me know what was going on. I felt like she was safe and well cared for. I would definitely board her here again in the future.

I’ve been taking my fur babies (two crazy Labs and a sassy little rescue cat) to Cumming Veterinary Clinic for a few years now, and I can’t say enough good things! The whole team is just so genuinely kind and welcoming—from the sweet girls at the front desk who always remember my pups’ names, to the techs who give the best belly rubs, to the doctors who actually listen. Dr. FitzSimons is seriously amazing. He’s super knowledgeable but explains everything in a way that doesn’t make me feel overwhelmed or rushed. When my senior Lab started having some issues, he caught it early and came up with a plan that fit our budget without ever making us feel bad about it. I swear he added years to her life—another vet had basically given up, but not here! My pets actually get excited when we pull int

I love Cumming Veterinary Clinic! Everyone is kind, compassionate and very knowledgeable. They treat your pet like their own and at the same time they keep your finances in mind too. I drive an hour to come here even though there are vets closer to my home. They are the BEST!!

I brought my dog, Marley, to Cummings Veterinary Clinic for a rhinoscopy after noticing a little bit of discharge coming from her left nostril. Dr. FitzSimons informed me that some bleeding might occur after the procedure but failed to explain the potential for profuse bleeding and prolonged pain. At no point I was adequately informed that Marley could suffer such extreme symptoms in the days following the procedure. The risks were grossly understated, and the information provided was misleading at best. Two days after the rhinoscopy, Marley began bleeding from both nostrils, and was clearly in pain. This level of post-operative distress was never communicated as a possibility. Additionally, no post-surgical care plan was provided. Dr. FitzSimons simply told me to contact my dog’s primary
