Derek Crouse has a great knowledge of dogs and dog behavoir and uses that to train and teach his clients well! He does positive training, along with non positive, in a balance that results in an overall well behaved dog. He can train dogs of all kind ranging from sport to "house" dogs.

Excellent experience. In-home training 1-hour sessions every other week tailored to meet our needs with a rescued pup. After five months we have fully resolved her separation anxiety and have experienced great improvement with her fear of strangers. Derek has extensive knowledge of dog behaviors and psychology and has taught us how to work with our dog daily to improve her obedience in general. He is obviously passionate about helping dogs and equipping their owners and cares about making progress in the program. It has been a worthwhile investment and we are thankful to have Derek in our county!

His experience and knowledge is shown in every lesson but he shares that with you at an affordable price while in the comfort of your own home. His availability is unmatched and never hesitates to help us with any questions we have even on our days off of training.

Super knowledgeable and personable! We have had many many dogs over the years and finally landed with one a little over our scale. Derek has helped us so much and every single thing he has said has been spot on for our specific breed. Our dog loves him, we learn so much every visit, and have fun doing it. It is never "work" and we can see our dog grow and we are growing as dog owners. I like that we do a lot of/most training at home, because that's where bad habits form and that where we live and are most of the time.

Derek is incredible at what he does. Things I try and work on with my dog (and struggle with), Derek will come in, get him to do it immediately, correctly and without issue. He is patient, knowledgeable, and truly cares about our dog’s progress. Derek always takes the time to explain each step of the training process and gives us simple tools to continue working at home. Our dog’s behavior has improved so much — walks are easier, manners are better, and over all demeanor has been great. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a skilled and compassionate dog trainer!
