Jinger and I had a great experience at Crain! The check in was very quick, we were put in a room almost immediately. Exam was thorough, gentle, and Jinger didn't even notice when she received her vaccines. The tech who trimmed her claws did an excellent job. Jinger was calm and treated respectfully the entire time. We will definitely go to Crain again.

Today, while driving on Buckner Tarsney Rd., My father came across a cat that had been hit by a car and was still alive, trying to get out of the road. The cat was very well groomed and appeared to be someone’s pet. He rushed to Crain Veterinary Clinic in Grain Valley, as this is where he take his own animals and has spent thousands of dollars over the years. When he arrived, he went inside and explained the situation, asking for a gurney or cart so I could get the injured cat inside safely and comfortably. He was told that all of the doctors were at lunch. He was offered no assistance, guidance, or compassion—only the option to purchase a cardboard box. No other help or suggestions were provided. This is the veterinary practice we have used for the last few years after moving to Grain Valley . I just want to share the experience I just had. I was driving on Buckner tarnsey rd and a cat had been hit and couldn't get off the road so I went back and picked it up and raced up to Crains . I went in said I had an emergency could they get a gurney or something to get it inside I was told the doctors are gone but she could sell me a cardboard box but its not what they really do. I even told them we have literally spent thousands there so I wasn't wanting a freebie . I asked if there was a doctor or manager I could talk to and was told they were corporate controlled . I have never seen such a lack of empathy or compassion from a place that deals with animals in my life .

If you care a single care for your fur babies please do not take them to this vet. This vet is the definition of a money hungry Corporation that’s just going to have you do useless stuff to your Animal that isn’t needed just for more money. The older guy will treat you like you’re a complete idiot and brush you off anytime you’re slightly concerned or have a question and the younger vet will just have you buy As many products and meds and surgeries as possible before they charge you an arm and a leg to put your Animal down when in reality, your Animal probably just needed an anabiotic and a good belly rub.
