Chrissy is an absolute asset to this practice. She proved her compassion and intelligence with our family dogs over 10 years ago (I was a teenager). When I got my own cat, Sunny, a little over a year ago, Chrissy once again proved herself by going above and beyond. Without me asking (or thinking of it) she found previous records on him that answered many questions right off the bat. She remembers details about my allergy-ridden boy and will save samples or info about new products and scour the internet when his food is out of stock. She will always listen, learn, and give honest advice no matter what silly question I ask Dr. Marotta is a stellar doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Gamble at Countryside! She and the vet techs are always wonderful with our dog. Our pup is reactive to other animals and other people she doesn't know; the team members at Countryside are always patient and calm, ensuring our dog feels as little stress as possible during her visits. Dr. Derek and Jessica were so great with Bear! Our 90 lb baby is quite a handful! They were very gentle, quick and efficient. I don't think Bear even knew that he got 3 shots.

If I could give more than five stars, I would. Dr. Marotta and the entire team at Countryside Vet Clinic in Shelton have been nothing short of incredible. As new patients, we walked in hoping for good care. We walked out knowing we found the place we’ll trust for years. Dr. Marotta is thoughtful, patient, and unbelievably thorough. He took the time to walk us through every detail when we learned that our dog, Buster, has diabetes. Instead of leaving overwhelmed, we left confident. His explanations were clear, comforting, and honestly the reason we felt at ease during a pretty stressful moment. The staff matches his energy perfectly. I am submitting this review to document my extremely unsatisfactory experience with this veterinary practice. During my dog’s annual wellness exam, the staff offered a complimentary nail trim and ear cleaning but only trimmed two paws, despite my dog being fully cooperative. The exam itself was incomplete; no evaluation was performed on my senior dog’s back legs for potential arthritis or stiffness. One visit they put us in a room with my dog waiting for the doctor, there was blood all over the floor. Constant unprofessional conduct. This week they priced us medicine at a 177.5% price increase then last time and insisted this is the price.
