Countryside Veterinary Hospital & Kennels

In July we boarded our two dogs here for a family trip. On the final day, we were told one of our dogs had escaped the facility due to what they described as “a breach in protocol.” Tragically, she was hit by a car and killed. When we picked up our surviving dog, our other dog’s remains were returned to us by the vet without an apology, offer of support, or follow-up communication. This was a devastating experience for our family. We want other pet owners to know what happened so they can make an informed decision about boarding their animals here.

We trusted them with one of our family members and they completely failed. On our way home from a 2 week vacation the vet called us and told us they let our baby escape due to a "breach of protocol" and she ran into the road and was killed. There were specific instructions given to them as to not open their cage for any thing unnecessary as we knew how scared she could be. The vet herself has not offered any condolences and really just seems to not want to deal with this. I absolutely cannot recommend that anyone goes here for any reason. I will forever miss my little cheddar and I'm just completely devastated at how this happened and how it was handled. If I could give 0 stars I would.

My own experience is that these people suck. They gave good medical care which is why I'm giving four stars but communication sucks and when you tell them that they're communication sucks they drop you as a client. I was late picking my cat up and had a friend do it because I was on a walk without my phone because I am manic and do what I want and they said I had missed my appointment. That is not true and my friend came and picked my cat up. Yet they still said that I missed multiple appointments and they were dropping me as a client there for. I had called them today to schedule an appointment for my cat's eye. So they care less about an animal's eye than they do about dropping a client they don't like. This is highly unprofessional and they shouldn't be in the medical profession then.

This place doesn't even deserve a 1 star. I took my kitten to establish care, the 1st visit was okay, was not impressed with the cleanliness. 2nd visit my pet had a seizure and she took a blood test to see if anything showed up. I called a few days to get the results no results, called again the next day no results, sent my husband to the clinic to get the results and the result was clear. 9 days later my kitten had another seizure I called at 8:00am to see if she wanted to see my kitten, no response. I called at 5:00pm and they had no idea who I was. Then proceeded to tell me I can come pick up a script for meds the following day.
