Country Animal Hospital Hermiston

I have been here twice with my dog since moving here, and both experiences have been subpar. I was overcharged $105 my first visit (and refunded), I waited in the waiting room for an hour after my appointment time until I was seen, and they gave me the wrong medication dosage and didn't tell me until after I paid that they don't carry the dosage I explicitly asked for. I can handle double checking my receipts, but the tall vet tech throws MAJOR attitude and was very reluctant to accept that I was overcharged. However, I give 2 stars instead of 1 because a) the short vet tech/assistant is very nice and b) I appreciate having a 24-hr vet closer than Pasco.

Cold and heartless! Scheduled an appointment for euthanasia for our 15 year old family pet. Refused to do a sedative and let us hold him while he passed. Quickly came in, shaved his paw, applies a turniquet and gave him the shot that ended his life. It was so quick that he fell over standing up, one second he was scared and overwhelmed the next he was dead, it was instant. After he lied there on the table they would not close his eyes and told us to knock on the door when we were done. I will never recommend this place to anyone who wants a peaceful transition for their beloved pet. Pay the extra money, go somewhere else unless you want to live with that memory for the rest of your life.

I can’t say enough nice things about how caring and wonderful everyone at this clinic has been to your fur babies since we moved here a year ago. If I could give more stars I would. They went out of their way for our pups numerous time during a very stressful time of life or death. Thank you for serving the Hermiston community. I don’t know what we’d do without you!
