We had a good experience here recently. Staff did not mind at all going over the costs and the reasons. Meds were required, and they also had no problem (and no charge) to show us how to administer the meds properly. They also didn't seem afraid of my very large Dane mix, whose face is hard to read. I'll bring my other dog here for his shots soon.

At first, I was pretty happy with CAH. Though there were hiccups with getting my email right and failing to send me the pre appointment documents, I get it. I have worked customer service for over a decade. Details can be hard. I loved the vet tech and vet, I felt they were very understanding and patient with me (an autistic adult) and my dog (an elderly and anxious rescue). I left happy, but it was all downhill from there. 1. Failed to document my dogs bordetella vaccination 2. Failed to send me estimates on future services I requested, blood panels, dental ex rays and dental work 3. Despite one cat’s best efforts to stage a protest and my dog’s nervous energy, the team handled them all with incredible skill and patience. But that’s not all – when our mischievous cat, Pewter, decided to make a meal out of a seemingly endless piece of string, Cortland Animal Hospital came to the rescue. They promptly assessed the situation, diagnosed the issue, and the amazing Dr. Askew performed life-saving surgery to remove the offending string. Thanks to their quick action and expertise, Pewter avoided a potentially devastating fate.

I called Cortland Animal hospital for an emergency appointment for my puppy because her vet could not see her right away. The staff was so friendly and helpful and got us in the same day. Dr. Nick was very informative about my puppy's care. If it weren't for the distance, I would be making this Vet our primary. Highly recommend Cortland Animal Hospital.
