Corinth Alcorn Animal Shelter

Someone dropped their abused dog off at my house. I cared for her until her full recover (3 weeks fractured leg) and took her to the shelter in Corinth Mississippi where I met a beautiful sweet soul (Meredith) who tool immediate action with shots, love and proper care. We need more people in the business of animal care and rescue who really do actually care and still show true compassion post "covid world" where SO MANY have become cold and empty. I tip my hat to Bob, Meredith and the nice man with the SUPER COOL vintage car who took time to speak with me about his car and life! We miss you Patches and know you will find a forever home. I almost moved and found a new home that allowed Dogs...sigh

I got my cat here. They cared for him, they educater me and I easily passed the application. They said the biggest reason to fail is landlords that don't like pets. Didn't apply to me. They didn't call my references. $60 for all shots and spay/neuter. This cat spent his whole life in a prison cell - obviously treated very well by the staff - but I'm so glad I adopted from here. We have kind of wild toddlers and they don't fit with all pets. The beloved kitty we got from this shelter is so grateful to be rescued he doesn't ever run or hide from my kids like other pets have. The spay/neuter program is great! Submitted an application online. Got an appointment scheduled within a week or so later. Very clear directions. Arrived to drop off between 9 & 10 am. Pickup between 4 & 4:30. Got my sweet kitten spayed, microchipped, & vaccinated. Easy process. Friendly staff. Great location for me - easy to find. Will recommend for this service & I plan to take 2 dogs soon for the same service.

The best shelter I've seen they take pride in trying to help find you the perfect furry friend for your family they do cat and dog testing on sight if asked and have a very friendly and clean facility I recommend everyone to stop by even if your not wanting to adopt or foster there will be no complaints for belly scratches

I'm in the process of adopting a beautiful dog named Herbie, that's been at the shelter since 2018 most of his life. I can't wait to bring him home. These people are doing there best to take care of all the homeless animals. They are loving and caring people that work there. Please spayed and neuter your animals. If you want a new pet, really think about adopting from the shelter instead of buying. They're overcrowded and these animals deserve a loving home. The staff is amazing and will work with you to find your special fur baby.
