This is Chili my 3 legged baby boy, I got him a week ago here at collier county das. We were originally looking for a kitten but when we seen Chili we knew we couldn’t leave without him he stole our hearts immediately. He has been the bestest boy ever he is so sweet he loves head rubs, chin rubs and tons of treats! He has been so spoiled in his new home and has been adjusting so well! He’s so trusting and will lay right in my lap and fall asleep. I cannot thank you guys enough for taking care of this baby until he was able to come to his forever home. (Update it’s been a little over a month now he’s completely opened up. He climbs cat trees, jumps on kitchen counters, sleeps in a king size bed, sleeps on the couch, cuddles with his little brother, living luxurious. Thank you guys so much I

Bad!!!!! On February 15th I adopted a dog (Hermione) from this establishment. She apparently was on medication for a UTI that they did not give her the rest of the medicine for. When I got her home she was happy for a day. The next week was horrible. She wasn't eating and started vomiting. Then diarrhea hit. Called back and the vet tech looked at her and gave her the exact medicine. The vet was on vacation. The medicine didn't work. I called to talk with the director and she stated I had 30 days to return the dog. I took the dog to urgent vet and the blood work and stool sample showed a whole lot more. $1200 bill for the right diagnosis. This place is neglecting animals. The funds are there and I ask for assistance on this vet bill. The director is too busy walking around talking to staff

I cannot begin to tell you how much we appreciate this place. Everybody who volunteers and works there are so friendly and are doing a great service for these animals. Each of them have relationships with the animals here and made our experience so enjoyable. My husband and I ended up going home with a beautiful girl named Sage. We can tell that she was well loved by everybody who works there and they each thanked us for taking her home, when we really felt like we were the ones receiving the gift. Thank you so much for what you guys do.

I adopted a sweet plump orange cat named Harley February 8th. He is an adorable sweetheart and I love him so much. He had an appointment with a vet (free from DAS). He's in great health and down a pound from when I got him. He plays fetch and loves to run after what I throw. I'm so happy he is in my life, and I thank DAS for holding onto him for me.

I had a stray cat hanging around my condo door for several months ( on & off) this kitty was the sweetest & constantly meowing & hungry & I my daughter & I brought him to this place a few days ago & the gentleman was very kind & retrieved the cat from our car & I signed some paperwork quickly & I'm so relieved I don't have to worry about this baby anymore & praying someone will adopt ❤️ him since he's the sweetest cat ever! Both his ears looked different? Maybe born like that or was beat up?? We don't know? Hopefully someone will want him 🙏
