Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue is truly something special. As both a foster and an adopter, I’ve seen firsthand how much heart, love, and dedication they pour into every animal — and every foster family. They support you every step of the way and make you feel like part of one big, caring family. I’m so grateful for all they do and couldn’t recommend them more! We also have the most amazing adopters who have become like family and friends.

I’ve been involved with Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue for a while now, volunteering on multiple teams, and I can say with complete sincerity that this organization is truly special. The staff and volunteers care so deeply for every single animal that comes through their doors, it shows in everything they do. I adopted my first dog from Coco’s Heart, and the experience was incredible. He had a medical concern prior to adoption, and CHDR handled every bit of the care and expenses to make sure he was healthy, comfortable, and ready for his new home. We adopted our puppy a few weeks ago and are very happy with the whole process. We applied and were approved within a week. We were matched right away after approval and got to meet our dog at the foster place that weekend and adopted him the next day. I appreciate that Cocos investigates adopters so that the dogs really go to good homes. It does take a few weeks possibly but it's worth it to be matched with a dog that will really work for you. We love our new little puppy. He fits in with our family perfectly and we appreciate Cocos so much for connecting us to our sweet puppy.

I worked with Coco's heart for about 2 months to find a dog to adopt that would fit my family and my current senior dog. The home visits were so helpful. I was looking for an adult dog. The two that came for visits were breeder rescues and you have to be ready for the issues they have. One was very timid. One was courageous but bordering on aggressive. The fosters helped me understand their needs and make a good choice to continue looking while they continued to work with these dogs to get them more prepared for home life and find them a better fit. The third foster was my winner. So friendly to people! The senior tolerates him and he was gentle with her. Heroes who are saving lives on the daily work here! They are staff who care deeply about dogs and have saved thousands. We have adopted our Bo from Coco’s and he changed the DNA of our family. We also volunteer as fosters and truly love it. Truly the most incredible people who are so loving and supportive. Highly recommend as both a volunteer or donation opportunity or a place to find your new best friend. 🐾
