Coastal Animal Hospital of Hatteras Island

While vacationing this past week, our dog was accidentally given the wrong medication. This mistake had the potential to make him quite ill. Not only were we worked into the schedule immediately, Dr. Hicks and staff went above and beyond to ensure Bratwurst was taken care of. We are back home now but had a follow up call yesterday to see how he’s doing. I can’t go into all the reasons for this 5 star review so suffice it to say we highly recommend this practice for ALL the reasons. Thank you so much. Mark & MJ Nary

Back in February we brought our older dog with us, we never leave home. It was her time to cross over Rainbow. Dr. Hicks staff were wonderful. They very patience comforting and let us have our time with her. This would be a Vet, I highly recommend this Veterinary if I live in the area to care for our dogs. Thank you all for the love!

There is never a good time to need an emergency visit to a veterinarian office, while my dog was okay and I needed something immediately and coastal animal hospital was able to help me out. They were extremely kind and polite on the phone, very willing to get me in promptly. They made sure my pup was okay, which I can't begin to tell you how much is nice because he is my family. These people felt like friends, they had my dog's best interest in mind, it was the perfect experience to a less than perfect happening. I wish this business nothing but the best, because they are in fact the best

Couldn’t recommend Dr. Hicks and staff more! The island is so lucky to have her for all things veterinary. She is so lovely and explains things in an amazing way. I am so glad the office was open and able to fit my pet in while he wasn’t feeling well. Thankful for their services!!

Our boy Duke had some stomach issues and was throwing up a foamy substance! Duke has a history of eating plastic objects, like bottle caps, etc. Out of caution, we took Duke to Coastal Animal Hospital of Hatteras island and they were able to set an appointment very quickly and see Duke. They were very thorough and made sure that all of test needed to make an accurate assessment of his situation were done. The time it took to get the results was, incredibly quick and the doctor was very quick to explain the situation and the next steps. We were also able to get some meds for Duke before we left. Duke made a quick recovery and is back to his, happy and playful self. I would highly recommend Coastal to anyone that needs veterinarian services. The staff was/is great and a kept us up to date on
