Ashley is outstanding! She is a multi-certified professional dog trainer who specializes in reactive dogs, drawing on a background in mental health and animal training to support dogs and their often frazzled guardians. She also hosts The Co-Regulated K-9s Podcast, an excellent resource that reinforces training concepts in a very accessible way. My husband and I came to Ashley completely overwhelmed with our rescue corgi, who seemed to bark at every dog and every noise. Ashley helped me shift my perspective entirely by teaching me to notice what my dog was doing right and developing a training plan tailored to his specific needs. She also helped me work through the perfectionism that was keeping me stuck in freeze mode during reactive moments. Instead of judging my dog (or myself for not

As a fellow trainer and behavior consultant I genuinely value collaborating with Ashley! She’s someone I trust when consulting on behavior cases, especially those involving fear, anxiety, and reactivity. Her ability to thoughtfully assess complex behavior and apply humane, effective training strategies is impressive. Ashley has an exceptional depth of knowledge, particularly with rescue dogs, and she holds herself to very high professional and ethical standards, which is rare to find in the dog training industry. She’s open, collaborative, and always willing to have nuanced, honest conversations about behavior work. I have a great deal of respect for her expertise and approach, and I would highly recommend Ashley to anyone looking for a true professional in dog training and behavior.

Ashley made a huge difference in training my rescue dog. My dog was highly reactive to other dogs, bikes, trucks, etc. when we first started working with Ashley and it's so much better now. Both my dog and I are calmer and happier for it! Ashley's approach is very kind, thoughtful, and effective. She was able to work with our specific circumstances and neighborhood and we also practiced skills in other locations and with her dog. I highly recommend working with Ashley!

Working with Ashley at Co‑Regulated K‑9s has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for me and my dog. I came in feeling overwhelmed and unsure how to help my reactive pup, but Ashley completely changed that. She’s not just a certified dog trainer she’s incredibly thoughtful, kind, and actually gets what it’s like to have a dog who struggles. Her trauma-informed, evidence-based, and positive training approach made both me and my dog feel safe, understood, and supported. What really stood out is how much she focuses on the human side too. Ashley helped me understand my dog’s emotions and behavior in a way no one else has. It’s not just about obedience—it’s about building a better relationship. And it works! My dog is calmer, more confident, and our walks are no longer stressful.

Ashley has been a game changer for us! Our pup, Moose, is a boy with big feelings about some dogs, bikes, skateboards, trucks, pretty much anything that is on wheels. Before we started our training journey with Ashley, Moose would lunge and bark at his triggers pretty intensely. We also could tell that Moose was not enjoying his outings since he was always scanning for “scary” things. After a month of day training with Ashley, we took Moose for a walk in this new park that is busy with dogs, kids, and people and moose listened to us the whole time! He didn’t have a single reaction and there was this loud motorbike that zoomed past us and moose was about to react but decided to look to us for direction 🥺 Ashley took her time in understanding Moose’s personality and came up with a plan that
