Lisa is a great trainer! She has been working with us for just under a year now. We have been learning a lot of the basics and just received our CGC certificate. She’s able to offer certified training to advance your dog. She has taught me and Thor how to communicate more effectively and yield the training results we are looking for

We took our puppy to Lisa for a series of basic training lessons. First of all, she is an excellent trainer and really has a great understanding of dog behavior and how to work with you and your dog to get the results you want. Her training methods never involve physical punishment, only effective communication, praise and consistency. Secondly, she never makes you feel inadequate as a dog owner. Praise works for owners, too! She emails detailed notes after each session, so you can refer back to them in case your forget the steps. Lastly, our dog absolutely loves her. We recommend her wholeheartedly!

Lisa is amazing! We only worked with her for 5 lessons for our 1 year old mini labradoodle, Georgia. However, it was an impactful 5 lessons. Georgia has previously some basic training/puppy socialization but that was really just a foundation and we wanted more. Lisa empowered us and taught us the ways to build on our training so it can be a sustainable part of Georgia’s life. I would definitely recommend Lisa to anyone who is looking for a trainer. We will certainly think about doing canine good citizen or agility training in the future.

Lisa has been wonderful with helping us train our golden doodle puppy. We have had five 1-on-1 training sessions that have provided our puppy and us with the knowledge and techniques to do all the things we wanted to work on (e.g. come, sit, lay, stay, etc). Our little guy is 8 months old and has been complimented by multiple others about how well behaved he is. Without Lisa this would not have been possible. I would recommend Lisa 10/10 times, and will continue to use her in the future when we want more training for our pup and for any other pups we get.

I feel so fortunate to have found a dog trainer of the caliber and experience of Lisa Halpin in Oconee County. She teaches all levels of dog training and obedience in a positive, gentle manner. Whether you have a puppy, or a dog that has a few behavior issues, Lisa always manages to approach all training with real-life answers that transfer to your own home situation. Dogs love her and owners love her because she makes it all so much fun. If you're into performance sports, Lisa teaches agility classes too. My dog loves her agility classes, and I love them because she has also learned so many obedience commands in agility class that I use in other settings. And, as icing on the cake, Lisa is very affordable. We are fortunate to have her here!
