Clark Fork Veterinary Clinic

It really hurts me to write a poor review, but I'm not sure we will be returning to this clinic. I've used CFVC in the past. I'm a mobile veterinary nurse with 20 years of experience in the field. When traveling through, I have used this clinic without a hiccup, though these were things like vaccines and not pressing medical issues. Last week, I awoke to find my dog in severe distress. He was drooling profusely, retching, hunched over, guarding his abdomen, unwilling to walk, etc. These are all the typical signs of a severe gastric problem (anything from a gastric blockage to bloat, both of which can result in death). We had to put our sweet baby down today and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to do it. I love Clark fork, watching the compassion they had for my girl in her last moments, I will never take my animals anywhere else.

I had to bring my senior pug in yesterday for seizures, the whole staff were amazing! They got us in immediately and kept me up to date on everything. We ultimately decided to euthanize, and again the whole staff were kind and just greatly compassionate through the process. As hard as it was, their compassion and care for my Chloe was greatly felt and I’m extremely grateful for that.

We were on a trip through Montana when our little fur baby fell ill while we were driving down the interstate. Fortunately we found Clark Fork Veterinary Clinic on the map and made the decision to stop in. Best decision we could have made. They saw our sick little boy right away and quickly found the problem. The entire team was welcoming, calming, professional and helpful. Our little baby is recovering nicely and thus we will be forever grateful to the team at Clark Fork. Thank you all!

My healthy 14 month old german shepherd went in to get neutered. He came home around 2:30pm and passed away less than 2 hours later. They did an autopsy and said that he passed away from internal bleeding. A simple neuter should have never led to internal bleeding and him passing away so tragically. They said that he must have had some type of blood or clotting disorder- however shouldn’t they have noticed this during surgery and closing him up? I talked to another vet about this, and he said that a neuter in a healthy dog should never lead to any type of internal bleeding. Clark Fork did not seem to own up to the situation and did not offer a refund. It’s not about the money because nothing will ever bring my dog back, but they should have attempted to make this right in some sort of way.
