City of Great Falls Animal Shelter

I adopted a senior cat from here in 2020, they were amazing. They made sure she was the perfect fit for me and my household. The kennels are clean and cool, huge play area for the animals in waiting, and have affordable adoption fees. I totally recommend adopting from here.

Staff member with the pig tails today was very argumentative. Made the situation way more complicated than it had to be. Found puppies and tried to bring them to the shelter. The girl argued with us about everything, to the point where my fiancé and I just took the puppies and will find a better established place for them. I would not recommend this shelter to anyone the lack of compassion she had, she should not be there. I really hope they find someone to replace her and that the rest of the staff is not like that. How can a shelter pretty much turn away found pets.

I adopted my Dixie Lynn on November 14th. I couldn't be happier! The adoption was a smooth process and the staff are super friendly and empathetic as I had just lost my dog if 11+ years. Thank you guys!

The handsome Mr. Jake is so glad that the shelter gave him so much love and I am so glad that they approved my adoption of this cutie pie. Staff are amazing and truly care about the animals in their care.

Their current event that is running with a low adoption rate caught my eyes on Facebook. While we completed the application, we did not realize their visitation/adoption times were a bit limited and required appointments. All of the staff we interacted with were very polite. For some reason they felt the need to delete a Facebook comment linking to their website when a community member asked how to find out what animals were available.
