City of Delano Animal Shelter

I came from Wasco going to Home Depot. I found a very small hurt puppy out in the middle of nowhere. They came out picked her up within the hour. The girl that came out was so friendly and caring. I wish Wasco animal shelter was this way!! Thanks for responding so quickly.

My dog was in need of an emergency attention, He was coughing up blood and I knew he wasn't okay. My dog always plays run jump, but the day when I realize he didn’t look like himself I called the shelter for medical attention. I’m located in Delano just like the shelter and they took 20 minutes to get to my house. I was in my front lawn with my dog waiting for him to be picked up. They arrived and asked if my dog is the one they need to be picked and I clearly told them yes he’s one since they also knew my address. They drove off and never came back. I was confused why they drove away. But I had to drive to Bakersfield just for my dog to be checked up since they couldn’t do and sadly he didn’t make it. Take your pet to a location where the people actually care.

Better now they put benches. But the water needs to work for the dogs.
